Educational Philosophy:

As an Educator, I believe education must not focus solely on obtaining factual knowledge but must also involve teaching skills to students that will allow them to be successful and knowledgeable in many life situations. I believe it is imperative to build a positive relationship with students in order to understand and meet their needs at the individual level. I look to develop a student-centred learning environment by using inquiry-based teaching and differentiated instruction. I am a strong proponent of using land-based and experiential learning to help promote student engagement and interest while connecting curriculum content to real-world application.
