High School

At Seventh Fire Secondary School, our students work towards earning their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) within the standard four-year high school period. The courses offered at each grade level are designed to ensure that students stay on track for graduation and are well-prepared for their postsecondary pursuits.

As a private institution, Seventh Fire Secondary School undergoes annual audits to ensure we meet all academic requirements and expectations.

Plus 1 Credit

Students focus on one course in September and June.

This unique educational model integrates theoretical learning with practical, hands-on experiences. Students engage in lessons and activities that foster a deeper comprehension of the subject matter. This innovative and experiential approach allows our school to offer specialized programs, such as the Seventh Fire Hockey Canada Skills Academy and the Seventh Fire Soccer Skills Academy, from October through May.

Academic Recovery Plans (ARP)

Each month, our teachers conduct comprehensive reviews of all students in their classes, considering not only their academic performance in terms of grades but also taking a holistic approach to offer assistance and maintain open communication with parents/guardians. If a student is not meeting their individual academic benchmarks or is failing a course, they will temporarily be withdrawn from extracurricular activities and receive additional support from teachers to help them catch up. Teachers inform parents/guardians of their child's progress and work collaboratively with our staff to provide the necessary support for the academic and personal development and success of our students.
